

He is survived by his wife Vicki Foster Miller; son Jake Miller, stepson Michael Averett; stepdaughter Zoe Averett; parents Paul G. Miller and Jocelyne F. Miller; sisters Nadine E. Gunter and Christine Miller Lamons (Jeff); nephew Dustin Gunter (Nichole); niece Melissa Gunter (Jack); Father-in-law Stanley Foster (Cara), Mother-in-law Carol Timmons; Brother-in-law Dean Foster (Danielle) and extended family.
Marc enjoyed spending time with family, beach trips, working in his yard which he kept to perfection, travel to Europe and sports. He played numerous sports but his true passion was baseball. He pitched for Monacan High School ('85) and for American Legion Post 186 (the Mules). The highlight of his baseball career was in 1985 when post 186 won the World Series in Kokomo Indiana. Marc continued his pitching career at his alma mater Randolph Macon ('89).
Marc went on to pursue a Master of Business from Frostburg State University. He spent his early career in procurement for SAIC, Manor Care, Capital One, And Media General. He then moved on to a 14-year career as the Chief Operating Officer at Virginia Eye Institute of Richmond.
We would like to thank Marc's work family at VEI for their unwavering support. The calls, texts, cards, visits and PanCAN Miles for Marc Fundraiser meant the world. We also extend a heartfelt thank you to his neighbors in Salisbury for their many acts of kindness.
