MILJEVIC, Maria Reiling, 90, of Richmond, died peacefully on Monday, February 23, 2015, after a brief illness. She is preceded in death by her husband, Milorad and a daughter, Ursula. She is survived by a younger sister, Agnes Reiling, of Wiedenbrück, Germany; daughters Marianne Watkinson (Robert) of Maidens, Va. and Margret Trumbull of Milwaukee, WI; grandchildren, Catherine Sowards (Taylor), Virginia Edmiston (Scott), Benjamin Trumbull (Alyssa), Alexandra Trumbull-Holper (Randall), Andrew Trumbull and great-grandchildren Sidney Sowards and Emerson Trumbull-Holper.
She also leaves behind countless numbers of devoted school boys from the Lower School of St. Christopher's School, their teachers and, especially, the Lower School nurse and beloved friend, Annette McCabe.
Other than her love of family, Maria's passions were photography and anything to do with gardening. She spent countless hours engaged in these pursuits and excelled at both. The family wishes to express its deep gratitude and appreciation to the entire staff of Beth Shalom who made Maria's final days comfortable.
The family will receive visitors at Woody Funeral Home, 1771 North Parham Road, Richmond, Sunday, March 1 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. A graveside service will follow Monday, March 2, at 1:00pm at Westhampton Memorial Park, 10000 Patterson Avenue, Richmond. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to either St. Christopher's School or the Richmond SPCA.
