Marvin E. Hilliard

HILLIARD, Marvin E., 78, passed away Friday, June 24, 2016, in Hudgins, Va., with his wife, Joanne, at his side. Marvin was predeceased by his mother and father, Gladys Bailey and Lynwood Hilliard; his son, Curtis; and his first wife, Audrey I. Hilliard. He is survived by his wife, Joanne; two daughters, Cynthia D. Courtney and Pamela J. Dunn; three grandchildren, Heather C. Lennon, Angel C. Yancoskie and James C. Dunn; four stepchildren, John (Sheila), Joseph (Pamela), Donald (Wanda) Robinson and Tammy Rucker; 15 step-grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; a brother, Norman L. Hilliard; sister, Frances H. Pritchard; and several nieces and nephews.

Marvin was in the Air Force Strategic Air Command as a mechanic on the B-36 and B-52 bombers. He was a manager for White Trucking Company and an Assistant Manager of the Richmond City Garage.

Visitation for family and friends will be 10:30 to 11 a.m., July 11, 2016, at Woody Funeral Home-Parham Chapel, 1771 N. Parham Rd., Richmond, Va. 23229.
