

Mary Edna Miles Denzler, 95, passed away March 19, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, George A. Denzler, Sr.; son, George A. Denzler, Jr.; sisters, Edith Wood and Irene Young; brother, Rupert Miles; grandson, Kenneth E. Denzler and daughter-in-law, Gladys H. Denzler. She is survived by two sons, Carroll E. Denzler and Thomas P. Denzler; sister, Gladys Britton; grandchildren, Richard A. Denzler, Tammy C. Woodcock (Alan) and Tracey C. Coates (Kennon); great-grandchildren, Melissa, Kenneth, Cassandra, Kateland, Nicholas, Cody, Michael, Emma and Christian and great-great-grandchildren, Ethan, Olivia and Charlotte.
After retiring from American Tobacco after 35 years of service, she spent a lot of time gardening and had a special love for birds and caring for orchids. Mary was a talented seamstress and crafter of all kinds as well. Also, she was a member of Christ United Methodist Church for over 60 years.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 21, 2017 from 5-7 p.m. at Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd. Richmond, Va. 23229. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Greenwood Memorial Gardens, 12609 Patterson Ave. Richmond, Va. 23238.
