Mary Frances Pillow Dowell, 86, of Henrico County, died Sunday, March 10, 2013, after a long battle with Alzheimers. She was born January 2, 1927 to Abner Wheeler Pillow and Mary Smith Pillow in Richmond, Virginia. She attended John Marshall High School and then worked for C&P Telephone Company. She was a past member of Ruth Chapter No. 8 OES. Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar P. "Ed" Dowell Jr.; infant son, Edgar P. Dowell III; sisters, Alice Ann Pillow Ammons and Cora Pillow Hart. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Joyce D. Wilton and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2013 in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
