Mary Ruth Jinkins

Jinkins,Mary Ruth, 92, of Richmond, VA died peacefully in her sleep on August 28, 2015. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William “Bill” Jinkins, her parents, James R. Burcham and Helena W. Burcham. She is survived by her children, Linda Smith and husband, Paul; Bonnie Thomas and husband, Rob; Mary Lou Hopkins and husband, Jim; Jim Jinkins and wife, Lisa; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Dearly loved by all, her top priorities were her love of the Lord, the study of His word, devotion to her husband of 63 years, and the care and nurture of her 4 children. She was known for her cooking skills and gracious hospitality. Additionally, she was a passionate reader, gardener, seamstress, traveler, hiker, and lover of God’s creation.

The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd., Richmond, VA 23229. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, September 3,2015 at Three Chopt Church of Christ, 9500 Three Chopt Rd., Richmond, VA 23229. Interment Hollywood Cemetery.
