Nancy Morrisette Milligan

MILLIGAN, Nancy Kight Morrisette, passed away Sunday, January 13, 2013. She was born on September 15, 1932 in Norfolk, Virginia. She is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years, Norman, and their sons, Rusty, Ronnie (Laurie) and Randy (Elizabeth); grandchildren, Emily, Anne Stewart, Christopher, Andrew, Lindsay and Hunter Milligan and Ashley Byrnes, all of Richmond, Virginia.

Nancy was a graduate of Maury High School in Norfolk, Virginia and attended Mary Washington College. She served 13 years as the Henrico representative for the Multi-Jurisdictional Grand Jury. Her many activities included volunteering at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, St. Mary’s Hospital and was a member of the Richmond Gentry, Thomas Jefferson Junior Women’s Club, Tri-Club Women’s Club and Douglas Freeman PTA and Booster Club. She was also an ardent supporter of Virginia Military Institute. Most importantly, she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be missed dearly .

The family will receive friends from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Woody Funeral Home, 1771 North Parham Road, Richmond, VA 23229. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at River Road Church Baptist, corner of Ridge and River Roads, Richmond, VA 23229, with a reception to follow in the fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be sent to the Tuckahoe Rescue Squad or River Road Church Baptist Building Fund.
