Nancy Lea Reynolds

REYNOLDS, Nancy Lea, 70, of Henrico, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2014. She was preceded in death by her father, Edgar E. Reynolds. She is survived by her mother, Viola Reynolds, for whom she was a dedicated caregiver in recent years; and a sister, Patricia Reynolds Dawson and her husband, Robert Dawson; one niece, Michelle Dawson Rodriguez and her husband, Rodney Rodriguez, and their children, Corey, Michael, and John Rodriguez "JD"; one nephew, Colonel R. Andrew Dawson (U.S. Army) and his wife, Sally Ihrig Dawson, and their children, Kaylie, Lauren and Connor Dawson.

She was born in Richmond, Va., and was a lifelong resident of Henrico County. She was also a lifelong member of Ridge Baptist Church, where she served in numerous leadership positions. She was a graduate of Douglas Freeman High School. She retired in 2007 after 43 years of service at the International Mission Board in Richmond, Va., serving in the department of missionary personnel. Nancy also served as Tour Director for Signa Tours of Richmond, where she led numerous tours to religious concerts and points of interest throughout the United States.

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 28, 2014, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd., Richmond, Va. Services will be led by Rev. Alan Ray at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2014, at Ridge Baptist Church, 1515 Eastridge Rd., Richmond, Va. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
