Nancy Ford Winks

Nancy was the first female member of the Louisa County Board of Supervisors and the first female Chair of the Board. However, her most loved position was being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Nancy was preceded in death by her beloved husband Dr. George F. Winks, Jr., her step-father Rufus L. Morrison, her parents-in-law George F. and Clara N. Winks and her step-brother Jimmy Morrison. She is survived by her sons; George F. Winks, III and wife Susan, and William D. Winks; granddaughter April Winks Garrison; great-grandchildren Clara and Shelton Garrison; step-grandchildren Ashley Mauck and Philip VanNess; step-great grandchild Kaitlyn Mauck; brother Alton F. Ford and his wife Kathy; step-brother Garland Morrison and his wife Joyce; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Monday, July 7, 2014 from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Road, Richmond, VA. Her funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at St. Andrews United Methodist Church, 9801 Fort King Rd, Richmond, VA 23229 interment following at Westhampton Memorial Cemetery.
