We will miss Nick and Ruby coming to visit us and the good times Derek and Nick always had when they got together at our house. Nick and Derek were best friends and our memories we have of his visits over the years will be with us always and cherished.  May god look over the Snead family and all Nick's friends.  We will miss his smile.

 I first moved to Richmond three years ago this August, and shortly after is when I met Nick.   We worked at Latitude seafood together and we became instant friends. He had the greatest personality, the greatest sense of humor, and the best laugh.  He would pick on me for having a “Yankee accent“ and frequently do impressions using a thick New York City accent and It always cracked us both up.   He would even leave voicemails on my phone “imitating” how I talked.   When he lived here in the Goochland area, I would frequently go to his house with my dogs and we would go on hikes; And then when he got little Ruby she would join us on our adventures as well.  We would walk way down through the woods out back of his house to where it met the river. We would  walk  through the trees and stumble upon random things in the woods,  {like an old car flipped over on its side},  and we would make up crazy stories as to how it ended up there.  I would go over on some Sundays and watch football with him, and pick on him about how the 49ers sucked 😂.  We would drive to tuckers park on a whim with his canoe and one innertube  and he would pull me in my tube with his canoe, while “jamming to some tunes”.   We would play random games of Pictionary, or play his new game on his Xbox.  One night we went out back of his house , down by the woods , with night vision goggles to “scope out the area, and to see what we could find. “  I could go on and on with all the good times I had with him,  he really became my best friend in this area in these past few years.  I was really bummed out when he told me he was moving to Georgia, but we still kept in touch and we saw each other not too long ago when he invited me out to a friends house in Deltaville.  It’s so hard not being able to pick up my phone and text him or call him or send him a goofy Snapchat.  He was such a chill dude who really knew how to live life.  And I already miss him more than words can say.  💔 

Dear Sneads,

I knew Nick for a long time but not very well. He was good friends with my brother. He was one of the nicest, sweetest young men to ever grace our household. I'm so saddened to hear his life is over and I'll never see his contagious smile again. My heart is with you, now and forever. May you find peace again one day.

Mr. and Mrs. Snead,
I am saddened to read of the death of your son, Nick. I taught Nick at Jacobs Road for his 4th grade year. For me, he will always be that adventurous little guy with a twinkle in his eyes. I am deeply saddened that his life ended far too soon.

It is with heavy a heart that I say: Rest easy Nick.  Your life and way of living should be celebrated.  There are countless memories of growing-up with you in Creekwood.  A memory that I hold dear was learning to surf from you at the Outer Banks in middle school, the weekend was amazing staying at the Nags Head Inn with your family and riding up and down the island with Nathan and David B. dragging us along in Nathan’s silver diesel Mercedes.  That weekend we spent a lot of time on NC-12 stopping in Rodanthe at “The Lost Sailor” listening to Dave bargain for bootleg “Dead” tapes, while chasing a break at the old Hatteras lighthouse.  We finished the weekend with a dinner at Kelly’s and stopped by the cottage on the way home, riding in the old gray and black suburban. 
Second to that memory would probably be boogie boarding down Falling Creek while it was flooded.  There are countless memories I would live again.
You were a great friend, you created wealth due to your companionship.

Mitch and Nancy, my heart goes out to you and your family. Nick was a good friend of my son. I remember him as confident, fun- loving, and kind. You were his roots and his greatest cheerleaders. Therefore, his life was fulfilling and inspiring. I just wish it could have been longer. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

We are sorry to hear that our long time friends loss a son. A son that was a great friend of our children. In this time of sorrow, know that we grieve with you and have you in our prayers.

He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Joseph & Vivian Snead, and by his maternal grandparents, Peter & Mary Kain.  

He is survived by his parents, Mitch and Nancy Snead, and siblings: Jason Snead and Kristin (Cay), Nathan Snead and Stephanie (Ella, Nancy, and Anne Mitchell), Jocelyn Snead Pullen and Doug (Marin, Clara, and Anderson). Nick is also survived by many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
