Norma Louise South

Norma Louise South, 82, of Sandston, Va., passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Ruth Barden McCrone; siblings, Dotsie Trippe, Audrey Regan, Shirley Crews, Sonny McCrone and Eugene McCrone; niece, Brenda Regan Wilhelm. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, William “Sonny” South Jr.; and her son, William “Buddy” South III (Melinda). Norma worked by her husband’s side as they started their businesses, South Motor Company and South Auto Parts. She rarely met a stranger and customers preferred she handle their requests. She was a member of Highland Springs United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 2, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. 23231, where a funeral service will be held Thursday, January 3, at 2 p.m. Interment will immediately follow in Washington Memorial Park in Sandston, Va.
