Norris Everette Abbott

Norris Everette Abbott, 87, of North Chesterfield, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 14, 2025. He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Margaret Payne, and by his parents, Aston George Abbott, Sr. and Evelyn D. Abbott, and brother, Aston George Abbott. Norris is survived by his only son, Everette Keith Abbott, his wife Ann B., grandchildren Nolan, and Wyatt of Annandale, Virginia, and his Sister-In-Law Dixie, a daughter by choice, Judy E. Newman (Paul), and his loving companion, Barbara Rogers, and many loving nieces and nephews. The family members and friends he left behind will cherish his memory.

Norris served in the U.S. Air Force as a mechanic and was honorably discharged in 1958. He continued his work as a mechanic until his retirement, Norris enjoyed being a licensed and active Amateur Radio operator, as well.

A funeral service will be held at noon on Friday, May 30th, at Westhampton Memorial Park, 10000 Patterson Avenue, Richmond, VA 23238.. Dress is casual. The family would like to thank the staff at Chippenham Hospital for their care. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
