Patricia Peters Fennell

FENNELL, Patricia Lee Peters "Tricia," 58, of Richmond, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on June 11, 2010. Tricia was preceded in death by her parents, Patrick Henry Peters and Virginia Lee Greenwood Peters (Mr. and Mrs. P. H. Peters). She is survived by her beloved and always devoted husband of 33 years, Robert Anthony Fennell; her children, Robert Patrick Fennell and his wife, Breeze Jennings Fennell, of Richmond, Laura Lee Fennell Adams and her husband, David Wayne Adams Jr.; and a special darling granddaughter, Caroline Lee Adams, all of Chesterfield County. Tricia was a graduate of the Collegiate School, Hollins College, and also spent a semester at FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology) in New York City, where she met her future husband who was working in the jewelry industry in New York City. Tricia and Bob danced away many Saturday nights at N.Y.C.'s famed country music venue, O'Lunneys, as they continued to fall more and more in love. They wed in 1977, lived for awhile in N.Y.C. suburbs and eventually came home to Richmond, Va. Tricia was also voted by the Collegiate Girl's School to be May Queen, an honor in 1970. Tricia was also a local model and won a modeling contest that resulted in a trip to Mexico in 1970, as Thalhimers' Miss Ingenue. She always enjoyed fashion, interior decorating and listening to all of her favorite records, especially the Beatles. She was also an extra in several locally filmed series, such as "JFK" and "A Woman Named Jackie." Additionally there were a few stints as a print-ad model and being in a television commercial for a health spa. Flowers were another of Tricia's favorites as she said, "Oh no, not the live ones! I love the fake ones, I can arrange them and they never die and are safe for the plant-eating cats we own." The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 16, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Woody Funeral Home, Parham Chapel, 1771 N. Parham. Road.
