Peter Eric Rainbow

Peter Eric Rainbow, 75, of Richmond, died Saturday, December 22, 2012. He was the son of the late Jack Eric and Catherine Rainbow, and was preceded in death by his step-father, Albert Powell; sister, Beryl; and brother, Raymond. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Patricia; a daughter, Kimberly Rainbow Dalton and her husband, Justin; and special friends, Irene and Conrad Cobb.

Peter was born in Birmingham, England on July 11, 1937, and served in the Royal Air Force before he immigrated to the U.S. in 1968 when he was recruited by Allied Chemical, where he worked as an engineer for 34 years. He continued to work at Magellan Health until his retirement in February 2012. Peter will be remembered as the ultimate gentleman, always with a smile on his face and a kind word, and waving from his 1968 Mustang convertible.

A memorial service will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 9400 Redbridge Rd., Richmond, VA 23236.
