Renee Avery Rooke

Renee Lynn Avery Rooke, 53, of Aylett, Virginia, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2025, surrounded by those who loved her most.

Born in Pennsylvania on February 15, 1972, Renee dedicated her life to caring for others, both in her personal life and throughout her career as a registered nurse. She had a special calling for hospice care, where her compassion and strength brought comfort to countless patients and families in their most difficult moments.

Renee is survived by her husband, Richard Rooke; her two daughters, Savannah Spicer (Cody) and Catherine Turnage; her granddaughter and a grandson on the way; her parents, Gilda and Eugene Avery; and her brother, Todd Avery (Sandy) and family.

Renee was a hard-working, passionate woman who loved with all her heart. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother, and she cherished every moment spent with her family.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew her and never forgotten by those who were lucky enough to be loved by her.

A private memorial will be held by the family to celebrate Renee’s life on Friday, July 11 at Woody’s Funeral Home - Parham.
