Robert Charles Williams, Jr.

WILLIAMS, Robert C., (Bob), 86, of Richmond, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2016, at his home. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Leslie Frances Williams. He is survived by his wife, Barbara D. Williams; his son, Robert C. Williams, III; his second daughter, Donnie Walker; and his beloved dog, Kip. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Patricia Slone; his nieces, Elizabeth DeHaan, Dr. Patricia Janovitz (Evan); his great-nieces, Caroline DeHaan, Hillary Hawes (Jamie), Charlotte Slone Hawes, Frances Caudill (Jake) and Olivia Williams; his nephews, John Williams (Karen) and Rich Williams (Monica); his great-nephews, Nathan Janovitz (Stacie), Dr. Tyler Janovitz (Kiki), Oliver Janovitz and Evan Williams. Bob co-founded James River Paper Company along with Brenton Halsey. He was the former President of the Board of Trustees for the Miami University Paper Science and Engineering Foundation. Many students benefited from the leadership scholarships provided through his family foundation to Miami University, University of Cincinnati and Virginia Commonwealth University School of Engineering. A memorial service will held at 2 p.m. Thursday, November 3, 2016, at Woody Funeral Home-Parham Chapel, 1771 N. Parham Rd., Richmond, Va. 23229. Burial will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park in Cincinnati, Ohio on Friday, November 4. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Goochland County Fire and Rescue Squad, Station 5, P.O. Box 247, Goochland, Va. 23063.
