He is survived by his wife Shirley of 62 years and children Gregory (Laura), Stephen (Deborah), Paula Cox (Kevin), six grandchildren (Gregory Woodle, Bradley Woodle, Ryan Woodle, Hunter Cox, Logan Woodle, and Brooke Cox) and one great grandchild (River Woodle).
Bob was born in South Carolina and after graduation from The Citadel moved to Richmond. He worked in insurance and retired from Peyton, Cheely, and Woodle Insurance Agency.
He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and playing golf with his Wednesday and Saturday group.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 3, 2023, at Saint Andrew's United Methodist Church, 9801 Fort King Road Henrico, Va. with a visitation at Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Road on Sunday, April 2, 2023, from 3:00- 7:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Saint Andrew's United Methodist Church or your favorite charity.
