Russell "Buddy" K. Allen, Jr.

Russell "Buddy" K. Allen Jr., age 96, died on January 10, 2021. He was preceded in death by two longtime wives, Jean Q. Allen and Roselind B. Allen; and sons, Russell “Rusty” King Allen III and Lee Alfred Allen. Buddy was a World War II Army veteran, a Bronze Star Recipient and a German POW. He retired from C&P Telephone Company in 1978. Buddy Captained his own Charter Boat; The Buddy-Lee out of Deltaville, Va., for 38 years. He was a member of Westhampton United Methodist Church. Buddy is survived by his son, Wesley B. Allen (Sheila); grandchildren, Brian Lee Allen and Tara Allen-Mayo; and a large extended family of children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, January 22, 2021, at Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd., Richmond, Va. 23229, where a funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 23, 2021. Interment will follow in Westhampton Memorial Park, 10000 Patterson Ave., Richmond, Va. 23238.
