Sergio Roberto Sainz, age 89, of Richmond, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2022. Sergio was born in Cuba on September 9, 1932. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 63 years, Martha Hernandez Sainz; children, Roberto Sainz (Sandy), Rene Sainz (Debbie), and Martha Murphy (Mike); grandchildren, Michael Sainz (Molly), Katlyn Sainz, Taylor Murphy and Lauren Murphy; sister, Elvia "Gina" Fernandez and nieces, Maria Adams, Silvia Dance, Olga Hoganson and Hilda Dunn.
Sergio worked as a Mechanical Engineer for Reynolds Metals Company for over 30 years. He served his community with the Knights of Columbus and was the Founder of Muddy Creek Hunt Club.
A graveside service for Sergio will be held Thursday, January 20, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Greenwood Memorial Gardens, 12609 Patterson Ave, Richmond, VA 23238.
