Shirley Gregory Hughes

Shirley was preceded in death by her loving husband, Eddie; parents, Boyd Sr. and Pearl Gregory; sister, Brenda Nugent; brothers, Wallace, Melvin, Earl, Henry, George, Walter, and Boyd Jr. Gregory.

She leaves behind her only child, Stacey Richmond (Jamie); two granddaughters; Kyleigh and Brianna; grandson, Jamie "JJ", and a host of loving family members and friends who will carry her memory in their hearts.

Shirley started working at Anthem BCBS at the young age of sixteen. She dedicated 47 years until she retired to care for her husband. Throughout her life, Shirley also nurtured lasting friendships. She had the remarkable ability to make everyone feel special and valued. Her generosity extended beyond her family, and she will be remembered for her selflessness and the love she freely gave to others.

A celebration of life will be held on Fri. Jan. 31st 2025 1 PM at Woody Funeral Home- Parham, 1771 N. Parham Rd. in Richmond. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will follow at Westhampton Memorial and Cremation Park.
