.WRIGHT, Thomas Alfred, was born on January 18, 1949, and departed this life on April 9, 2014 to celebrate his new home in heaven with his father, James E. Wright Sr., and many other loved ones also partying with the Father. He is survived by his mother, Nellie W. Sprouse ("Winkie"); brother, James E. Wright Jr. (Carolyn); his children, Christy Myllykangas and Chad Wright; and sister, Judith W. Herring (Ed) and their sons, Bradley and Clayton. He was also great-uncle to Ava and Owen Myllykangas. Tommy loved dogs, horses and his grandparents' farm. He graduated from Tucker High School, where he played the trumpet and football and was known affectionately as the "class clown," much to the chagrin of his parents, yet a delight to his friends. Tom and his then-wife, Clara Eggleston, relocated to the Jacksonville, Fla. area. In recent years, he endured a six-way bypass and several complications due to diabetes. God allowed Tom a peaceful release to that mansion prepared just for him. The family will receive friends at Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd., on Sunday, April 13, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday, April 14, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, with interment following at Westhampton Memorial Park.
