

DENTON, Virginia Elizabeth, 63, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, was called home to rest in eternal peace with the Lord on March 29, 2014. Virginia was born on June 9, 1950 to the late Joel and Elizabeth Denton of Richmond, VA. After graduating from Richmond’s St. Gertrude High School, she went on to complete both her BA at Hardin-Simmons University and her MA at Webster University with distinction. As an extremely loving and caring mother, an accomplished psychological counselor and a frequent volunteer at homeless shelters, Virginia devoted her life to helping others. While spending her last years residing in the Albuquerque, NM area, she cherished her grandchildren, adored her dogs and enjoyed the company of her many dear friends. She is survived by her son Daniel Ingelido II, her daughter-in-law Laura Ingelido, and her grandsons Gabriel, Caleb and Noah Ingelido, all of Marlborough, MA; her brother Will Denton of Hanover County, VA; her brother and sister-in-law, Joel Denton Jr. and Linda Denton of Richmond; her sister and brother-in-law, Betsy and Christopher Gragnani of Glen Allen, VA; and her beloved nieces and nephew. A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd. in Richmond. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 4, 2014 at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 1214 Wilmer Ave. in Richmond.
