William Wampler

WAMPLER, William Riley, 82, and Barbara Lee Garwood, 81, of Blackstone, Virginia, passed away Friday, Decmber 9, 2016 and Wednesday, December 14, 2016, respectively. After 61 years of marriage, they were inseparable even in death. They are survived by their devoted son Randall (Randy) Wampler of Richmond, Va.; her brothers and sisters, Billy Garwood (Hutchinson, Kan.), Carlos Garwood (Jonesville, Va.), Margie Horton (Chattanooga, Tenn.), and Sue Ann Robbins (Kingsport, Tenn.). Also surviving are their brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bill Horton (Chattanooga, Tenn.), Jeanette Craft (Wise, Va.), Shelia Garwood (Jonesville, Va.), Willie Garwood (Hutchinson, Kan.), and Merlyn Wampler (Wise, Va.), as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. A joint funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday December 20, at Parham Chapel-Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Road, Richmond, VA 23229. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Entombment will follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
