"Al " was born June 9, 1932 in New Orleans, LA to Elmo and Theckla Matranga. After graduating from Byram High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He had a successful 54 year career with Klingler Electric.
Besides spending time with his family and friends, Al was a talented craftsman and loved working in the yard. "Al " met his wife Ann Greenlee in the fall of 1954 and they married in June of 1955.
"Al" is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Ann, as well as his 3 daughters, Kathy Davis (Terry), Martie Everett (Johnny), and Audrey Shelby (Frank); and 8 grandchildren and their spouses; Josh Davis (Peggy), Nick Davis (Sally), Matt Davis (Kaylee),Steven Everett (Kinsey), Lindsay Strickland ( Cole), Mason Shelby (Hannah), April Crowell(Jon Richard), and numerous great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at Parkway Funeral Home, 1161 Highland Colony Parkway, Ridgeland, MS Saturday October 29, 2022 from 11:00 am to 1:00pm.
