She was born in Pascagoula, Mississippi, on May 26, 1944, to Hugh and Connie Dossett.
Ann graduated from Pascagoula High School in 1962. She then attended the University of Mississippi, where she met her other half.
Ann loved her family including her spoiled grand dogs, Ole Miss football, Baptist hymns, Elvis Presley, and her days of working out at Fitness Lady—in no particular order.
For thirty-four years, Ann worked in the counseling department at Jackson Academy, where she retired in 2016.
Preceding her in death were her loving husband of 57 years, Frank M. Kinard, Jr.; her mother, Connie Dossett Cook; and her father, Hugh Dossett.
She leaves behind a son, Frank III (Jessica), a daughter, Suzanne (John), a granddaughter, Alex, a sister, Peggy Burnham Robertson (Mike), and her three grand dogs BeeBee, Joey Patrick, Mandy.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Friends of Jackson County Rescue Pets 2953 Bienville Blvd #134 Ocean Springs, MS, 39564, any no kill shelter, or Mississippi Alzheimer's Association.
A visitation will be held at Parkway Funeral Home, located at 1161 Highland Colony Pkwy, Ridgeland, MS, 39157, on December 11, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
A graveside service will follow at Parkway Memorial Cemetery, 1161 Highland Colony Parkway, Ridgeland, MS, 39157, at 11:00 am immediately following visitation.
