Born youngest of 4 sons on September 27, 1973: Darren James Bennett was a gift from God to the Bennett family in La Habra, California. He was full of life and always “the life of the party". Darren was loved by everyone who knew him and he never knew a stranger. He loved any kind of celebration; so, his memorial service will be a celebration of his life. He never let his diagnosis of Down’s Syndrome keep him from wanting to do everything. He is survived by his mom and dad (James Curtis and Beth Bennett) and oldest brother, Daniel Curtis Bennett. Moving from California in 1990 he lived with his parents in Canton, MS and then moved to Ridgeland in 1993. When his parents were no longer able to care for him, he moved to SON Valley in Canton until his passing in St. Dominic Hospice Passages in the afternoon of July 19, 2023. He will be missed by many people whose lives were touched by his personality. A memorial celebration will be held on Friday, July 28, 2023 at 2:00 pm at the Chinese Christian Church of Greater Jackson, 803 Old Agency Rd. Ridgeland, MS 39157. Visitation will begin one hour prior.
