David Leslie Lyle, 62, of Madison, Mississippi, surrounded by his family passed away on May 31, 2023 due to complications from cancer. He was born to Joseph and Mary (Dottie) Lyle in Jackson, Mississippi on August 31, 1960.
Having graduated from the University of Mississippi with a Masters of Accountancy, David was a CPA and partner of Lyle, Walker & Company for the past 26 years. He loved his partners and his employees whom he would call his "friends." David was a loyal fan of the Ole Miss Rebels, and loved tailgating and going to football games.
As a teen, David was an avid Boy Scout. He loved the outdoors and all that went along with it - gardening, fishing, hunting, camping, canoeing, and hiking. In most recent years, David loved spending time on the family farm. He spent numerous hours renovating the old house, working on ponds, farming, bushhogging and watching his trees grow. It was his getaway! Most importantly of all, David was a devoted Christian, a loving husband, a father, and a grandfather who cherished his time spent with his entire family at home, traveling and at the farm.
David is survived by his wife of 40 years, Kimberly French Lyle, and two daughters, Elizabeth (Lizzie) White and her husband, Zachary White, and Leslie Martin and her husband Brian Martin, and one grandson, Lyle Martin and one grandson on the way. David is also survived by his parents, Joseph Tillman Lyle and Mary Edith (Dottie) Lyle, sister Janet Shaw (Lee) of Crowley, Texas and brother Ken Lyle (Kathy) of Memphis, and many nieces and nephews and their families. David is predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Dr. Sam and Tressie Lyle, and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bert and Helen Davis.
