David Foster Young III

He is survived by his wife, Kathy L. Young; two children, Joshua D. Young and Amanda Y. Polles (John); three grandchildren, Harley, Cali and John Carter, and parents, Dr. and Mrs. David F. Young, Jr. (Kittye). He is preceded in death by his brother Robert James Young of Jackson, MS.

He is a graduate of Starkville High School and Mississippi State University.

He had a 32 year military career in the Mississippi Army National Guard which included, 20th Special Forces and The Elite Delta Force. He retired with the rank of Master Sergeant.

David also was a retired electric cooperative safety instructor for over 30 years with The Electric Power Association of Mississippi.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that financial donations be made to The First Presbyterian Church of Madison 7717 Old Canton Road, Madison MS 39110 or The Mississippi Animal Rescue League 5221 Greenway Drive Ext, Jackson MS 39204.

Visitation will be 5-7pm Tuesday April 25, 2017 at Parkway Funeral Home in Ridgeland. Funeral services will be 10:00am Wednesday April 26, 2017 at the funeral home, preceded by visitation at 9am. Burial will be 2:00pm Wednesday at Tuscola Baptist Church Cemetery near Carthage, MS.
