Dian was born September 29, 1946, to Norville Fisher Weston and Alma Wall Weston in Virginia. She was a graduate of Princess Anne High School in Virginia Beach, VA where she was a member of the Drill Team. After graduation, Dian began a lifelong career in the healthcare industry, first as a Cobalt Technician, later as Administrative Coordinator for various hospitals and healthcare organizations.
She had big dreams and an entrepreneurial spirit which began with the creation of a small craft boutique in South Carolina. After moving with her family to Montreal, Quebec, she infused that spirit into her love of sports with the creation of a Ladies Softball League, where she served as League President, and Captain of her team which went on to win the Championship Title. She forged deep bonds within the community and began teaching aerobics and jazz dance in the area.
Years later, on a family vacation, she fell in love with the island of Maui, and befriended locals who had developed beauty and wellness products from the island. From that visit she opened a spa/wellness center in Bedford, Nova Scotia where she lived until her final move to Madison, Mississippi.
She was a woman of faith, a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan and had many loves: animals, veterans, Christmas, home décor, music and dancing, to name a few. Her love of popcorn, however, rivaled them all. Her greatest loves were her children, who often joked with her about her ongoing support of entrepreneurship through her purchases of random products from late night infomercials. She was a loving mother, cousin, colleague and friend. She never met a stranger and touched the lives of so many people.
Dian is preceded in death by her brother and best friend, Norville Fisher Weston, Jr., her father, Norville Fisher Weston, Sr. and her mother, Alma Wall Weston. She is deeply missed by her children, Kelli Weston of Kyle, TX and Destin Mounts of Daphne, AL who will cherish her memory.
No funeral or memorial service is immediately planned. The family will notify loved ones in the future when a celebration of life is scheduled. Please honor her memory by sharing stories that celebrate what was good and blessed in her life.
