

Emma was born in Greenville, MS on April 11, 1930 to Louise and Charles Williams. She was raised in Laurel, MS and graduated from Mississippi State University with a degree in Elementary Education.
Emma was employed by the U.S. air Force as a civilian teacher spending two years each in Japan and Germany and one year in Tripoli. After her travels all over the world with the Air force, she went to work with the Garden Grove, CA school district where she retired with many honors. She remained in touch with many of her students and fellow teachers.
Emma is survived by her sister Mary Oglukian of Charlotte, NC; her nieces, Pat Jones, Mercedes (Frank) Chut and Portia (Greg) Williams; a nephew Gordon Oates; great nieces and nephews Leslie Jones, Collin (Brittany) Wiliams, Tyler (Allison) Williams, Raymond Chut and Claire Chut; and her great great nephew Benjamin. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Louise Williams and her sister, Raquel Oates.
A memorial service for Emma Williams will be held at Parkway Funeral Home on July 7, 2016 at 2:00pm at Parkway Funeral Home with a visitation one hour prior to services.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Emma’s name to American Cancer society, Hospice Ministries or Lakeside Presbyterian church.
