She was born March 16, 1939 to Wallace Aubrey Shaw and Hazel Marie Westbrook. She graduated from CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL "Class of 1957" lived and worked in the Jackson area until retiring to Southern California to pursue her writing career and was a published author and poet.
She was preceded in death by her father, mother and sisters Marlene Chandler and Carolyn Logan and survived by her sister Linda Brune, son Robert Plafcan Jr. (Shauna), daughter Kelly Weathersby (Max), and Grandchildren; Brooke, Cade, Nick, and Snoei. Services will be Thursday at 1:00pm Visitation 12:00 - 1:00 Wright and Ferguson in Ridgeland, MS.
