Jay Foster Meacham, 46, of Jackson passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2022. Visitation for Jay will be held Sunday, October 2, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Christ United Methodist Church, 6000 Old Canton Road, Jackson, MS, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Jay will be laid to rest in Parkway Memorial Cemetery, 1161 Highland Colony Parkway, Ridgeland, MS. Parkway Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Jay was born on July 22, 1976 in Meridian, MS. He was a native of Brookhaven, MS where he graduated from Brookhaven High School in 1994. A graduate of Mississippi College, Jay worked for different entities throughout his life and was currently the CEO of ClearView Digital Conversions, Inc. in Jackson. Jay and his family were members of Christ United Methodist Church in Jackson, MS. Jay was well-loved by many people and with his boisterous personality and uncanny ability to never meet a stranger, many would say once you were a friend of Jay’s, you were a friend for life. He was most passionate in life about raising his three boys with his wife, Melissa, and cheering them on at their various sporting events. He most enjoyed coaching his sons in little league sports and golfing with friends.
In addition to Melissa, Jay is survived by their three sons, Foster, McNeil and Webb; his parents, Ken and Sandra Meacham; his sisters Jill (David) Dale, Jenny (Jon) Byrd, and Julie (Brandon) Deer; his father and mother-in-law, Charlie and Jo Claire Swayze.; his sisters-in-law, Julie (Mark) McLemore and Allison (Reese) Pillow; brother-in-law Charlie (Lucy) Swayze III; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jay is preceded in death by his nephews, Campbell Dale and John Sharp Pillow.
Pallbearers are Michael Boerner, Phillip Cothren, Myles Cross, Dave Mosal, Jeff Norris, and Chad Thompkins. Honorary Pallbearers include William Colbert, Matt Eichelberger, Gage Gibbs, Jamie Green, Doug Hudgins, Andy Johnson, Brian Long, Kelly Thompson, and Shaun Walker.
