She was preceded in death by her parents, John P. Cerul, Sr., and Mary Cerul, as well as her husband of 59 years, Peter J. Markow, Sr.
As a dedicated mother, Joan treasured her children and embraced every moment she could spend with them. She especially loved her role as Grandma. Faith was a cornerstone in her life and it was an inspiration to all who had the privilege of getting to know her. Joan recently expressed that her goal in life was to leave the world a better place. Undoubtedly, she accomplished this and will be forever loved, forever missed, and forever in our hearts.
