Private funeral services will be held at 2:00 P. M. Saturday October 12, 2013 at Wright and Ferguson Highland Colony with internment to follow. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services.
Mr. Tate graduated from Brookhaven High School and attended Mississippi College. He was a veteran in the United States Air Force. He retired from AT&T.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Edwin Tate and Edna Bounds Tate; brother Paul M. Tate.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Joyce Tate of Ridgeland; son, Michael Tate(Wendy) of Madison; granddaughter Brittany Tate of Madison; grandson, Corey Tate of Madison; brother William Eddie Tate of Madison; sister Shirley Jo Chisolm of Pearl.
