Jim was born in McComb MS on June 14, 1950.
Jim graduated from Flora, MS High School and went on to attend Holmes Junior College in Goodman and University of Southern MS in Hattiesburg.
Jim was a successful businessman for many years in Houston, TX and returned home to MS in 2022 to care for his sister, Lena Beth Laird.
Jim was preceded in death by his loving mother, Carolyn McClellan Lewis, and his precious niece, Jennifer Laird.
Jim is survived by his sister Lean Beth Laird of Ridgeland MS, his brother Stan Allen of Tupelo MS, a niece and two nephews.
A private family graveside service July 18th complimented his quiet life.
