Laurie was born in Jackson, Mississippi on September 9, 1970 to Barbara Ann Martin and Kenneth W. Martin. Laurie married Steven Warner Pierce and together they raised one daughter, Kristyn Renee Pierce Smith. She worked for the State of Mississippi for 30 years. Laurie was a dedicated Christian.
Laurie is survived by her husband of 34 years, Steven; daughter, Kristyn; two grandsons, Nolan Riley Smith and Liam Aubry Smith; and two sisters, Kim Marbry and Jennifer Johnson (Nathan). She was preceded in death by her parents, Barbara and Kenneth.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, February 1, 2026 at 1:00 pm at Parkway Memorial Cemetery, Ridgeland, Mississippi.
