

Born December 18, 1924 in Jackson to William T. Williams, Sr. and Lucy Morrison Williams, she graduated from Central High School and Clark Business College. In 1943, she married Dr. Glenn F. Glenn of San Antonio, TX. They made their home in Jackson where Dr. Glenn practiced Chiropractic Medicine for over 50 years.
Lucille served as President of the MS Chiropractic Association’s Ladies Auxiliary and The Ladies Auxiliary of Spanish American War Veterans. Both her father and father-in-law, John Glenn, served in the Spanish American War. She was also a member of the Jackson Chapter 47, Order of the Eastern Star.
When her children were young, Lucille was active in Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts, Indian guides and Rainbow Girls.
She was employed by the State of MS for 26 years. She spent 8 years in the Welfare department and 18 years with MEMA, where she served as Executive Division Secretary to Directors Jim Maher and at the time of retirement, Robert Latham, JR.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Dr. W.T. Williams, Jr., Houston TX, and B.J. Williams, Jackson, MS. She is survived by two daughters, Eugenia (Ken) Jones and Barbara Anne Henderson, both of Jackson and one son, John William (Denise) Glenn of Houston, TX; 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Parkway Funeral Home, 1161 Highland Colony Parkway, Ridgeland, MS from 5-7pm on Thursday July 14, 2016. A graveside service will be held at 11am on Friday July 15, 2016 at Lakewood Memorial Park on Clinton Blvd. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials are made to a charity of your choice.
