Mary Mcfarland Dent

Mary McFarland Dent passed away August 9, 2011. She was born in Madison, MS on April 3, 1932. She retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Mississippi after 41 years of service. She was an avid bridge player and loved to read. She is preceded in death by her two sisters Avis McFarland Hammack and Mavis McFarland Mashburn and one brother Wesley C. Mcfarland. She is survived by her brother A David McFarland of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, two daughters Cindy Dent Williams and Melanie Clement Jeffreys, both of Madison, her son William Bradley Dent of Bolton and grandaughters Amy Suzanne Clement of Madsion and McKenzie Kay Dent of Monroe, Louisiana. The family is sincerely greatful for the wonderful care provided by the staff at St. Catherines Village, Siena 2 and Odyssey Hospice Services with very special thanks to Valeria Douglas who not only took good care of her but was her good friend indeed. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the charity dearest to you.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, August 10, 20101 from the Parkway Chapel of Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow the service in Lakewood Memorial Park. Online guestbook www.wrightferguson.com
