Mary Osborne

Mary Lee Osborne (98) of Madison, Mississippi passed from this life peacefully at St. Catherine's Siena Center on July 29, 2025 to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Mary Lee was born on March 20, 1927, in Union, Neshoba County, Mississippi. After high school, Mary Lee moved with her family to Jackson, where she attended Jackson Business College. Upon graduating, she began a long and fulfilling career with First National Bank, now Trustmark, starting as a teller, but working her way up to vice president and eventually to Personnel Director.

A woman of faith and compassion, Mary Lee worshiped at Galloway Methodist Church, where she made several life-long friends. Her priorities were faith, family and work, in that order. She had a passion for traveling, and in her retirement, was constantly on the move. She traveled literally from one end of the globe to the other. Her favorite place to visit was New Zealand, where she returned several times. And she was particularly fond of cruises, with close to thirty cruises under her belt.

Mary Lee is preceded in death by her parents, Mae and Herbert Osborne, and her sisters Margaret Sellers Clifford (George) and Frances Mae Peters (Jack). She is survived by her nephews and their wives, Marc Randall Peters (Pam), Wes W. Peters (Caren), and Grant Clifford, and her great nephews, Matthew Houston Peters, Barrett Owen Peters, Jack Anderson Peters, and William Randall Peters. Ms. Osborne and her family would like to thank her caregivers at St.Catherine's and her special friend, Lillie Willis.
