She married J.C. Lovett. She worked as a cafeteria manager in the Jackson Public Schools for 20 years. After retiring she joined Sherry Robertson, CPA and TEC Partners. Although Mauvolene loved flowers, she loved God’s babies and children even more.
Mauvolene is preceded by her husband J.C. Lovett, brothers Eugene Ratliff, Bill Ratliff, Roger Ratliff; and sister Yvonne Burroughs.
Mauvolene is survived by her daughters Joy Barnett, and Bethany Lovett; and John Barnett her “favorite child!”
A visitation for Mauvolene will be held Tuesday, April 8, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Parkway Funeral Home, 1161 Highland Colony Pkwy, Ridgeland, MS. Following the visitation will be a celebration of life at 2:00 PM. She will be laid to rest at Brandon Memorial Gardens in Brandon, MS.
