Patricia Ann Weir

Patricia Ann Weir passed away at the age of seventy at her home on Friday, January 27, 2017. Pat was born in Carthage, Mississippi, graduated from Carthage High School, and attended East Central and Holmes Community Colleges.

Pat was Executive Director of Mississippi Easter Seal Society for almost twenty-three years, charged with annual Easter Seal Telethons, raising funds for many disabled children and adults. In 1990, she started a new career in real estate, earning million dollar status several years. She was an active member of St. James Episcopal Church where she served as a Eucharistic Minister, a Lector, and a Chalice Bearer. Pat was a long-time fan of tennis, playing on a number of teams, and a devoted follower of Roger Federer.

She was a member of Heritage Luncheon Club and served as President. She was preceded in death by her parents, Irby and Sylvia Weir and her sister, Doris Weir Rawson Bowen. She is survived by her brother, Robert S. Sonny Weir (Nancy), and sister, Shirley Bounds (Woodie), four nephews, two great nieces and three great nephews.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, January 31, at St. James Episcopal Church in Oak Ridge Hall, located at 3921 Oakridge Drive, Jackson, MS 39216, and the funeral service will follow at 11:00 am.

Honorary Pall Bearers are Bo Bounds, Ben Bounds, Rob Weir, and Harlan Weir.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to St. James Episcopal Church, the church she so loved.
