

Dick Ambrosino, 66, passed away on Wednesday at his residence after a prolonged illness. He was a commercial developer, business owner, nuclear and mechanical engineer.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2015 from ten o’clock to noon at Parkway Funeral Home on Highland Colony Parkway in Ridgeland.
Dick was born on March 11, 1948, in Amsterdam, NY to the late Albert and Catherine Ambrosino. His youth was spent in Gloversville, NY. From a young age, he displayed an independent, industrious business spirit which served as a basis for his future successes.
Upon graduation from high school, he attended Clarkson University in Pottsdam, NY where he obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He then earned his Masters of Nuclear Engineering degree with the General Electric Company.
In the past four decades, Dick designed, engineered, and built multiple commercial and residential developments of which he was very passionate. Dick’s legacy will continue through his son Dan.
Dick is survived by his wife of 46 years Ellen Siegle Ambrosino, daughter Kimberly Ambrosino Alexander with husband Scott Alexander and daughters Genevieve and Katerina, son Daniel Ambrosino with wife Melissa Murray Ambrosino and daughters Mariella and Melanie. Other surviving family members include: brothers John and Donald Ambrosino, sister Doreen Ambrosino Kirby with husband Steven and several nieces and nephews.
