Rob was a larger than life, funny, and compassionate man. He was a “collector of people” and had many friends. Once you became part of his circle, he loved you forever. He was an avid Mississippi State Bulldogs supporter and had frequent, lively conversations with his younger brother about sports.
Rob received an associate degree in business from Southwest Community College. He also attended the University of Southern Mississippi, where he graduated with honors, receiving a BS degree in Criminal Justice and Forensics. He was honored to have received an internship with the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics his junior year. While at USM Rob started his career as a dispatcher with the USM Police Department. Following graduation, Rob attended the Police Academy and returned to USM as an police officer.
Rob served as a police officer in Purvis, MS. Prior to that he had worked in several small communities around Hattiesburg as an officer. Rob loved small town work because he could get to know the people and be a part of the community. Professionally he was a member of LEAPS, a peer support group for law enforcement professionals. He was passionate about caring for his brothers and sisters in blue.
Our family has been overwhelmed by the tremendous outpouring of love for our son and support for us. We will be forever grateful.
