Ruth (LaRue) Ward Buckley, 84, went to be with the Lord on December 25, 2016 at Hospice Ministries. She called Madison her home for over 22 years. Ruth was born in Midway, MS on February 15, 1932 to Rosie Lee and Frank Ward. She was one of ten children and spent her childhood growing up in rural Mississippi, later moving to Jackson. She committed her life to loving her husband, Willie Lee Buckley and her family. She enjoyed gardening with her husband and loved to grow beautiful flowers of all kinds.
Ruth is survived by her husband Willie Lee Buckley and daughters Linda Lomax, Cathy Jordan, and Tammie Terry. She is survived by five grandchildren Heather Koziol, Tasha Lomax, Derek Jordan, Lance Lomax, and Melissa Terry. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren Brooke Ashley, Devin Lomax, Dalin Lomax, Isabella Jordan, Zane Jordan, and Joshua Koziol.
Visitation will be 5 - 7 pm Friday, December 30 and 1 – 2 pm Saturday, December 31 at Parkway Funeral Home in Ridgeland. Funeral Services will be at 2 pm Saturday, December 31 at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Parkway Memorial Cemetery.
