Ruth T. Monsour

She graduated from University of Southern Louisiana in Lafayette, Louisiana with a B. A. in Education. She taught at St. Andrew's Episcopal School in excess of 35 years. She also worked at Stein Mart until her "early" retirement at age 92. She was a member of many clubs and groups, including the Dental Auxiliary, Petrol, Mecca, Las Comaradas and the 21 Dinner Club.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Dr. James Victor Russell; second husband, Emil Thomas Monsour; daughter, Ruthie Ann Russell Bullock; and granddaughter, Brent Monsour Riddell.

She is survived by her daughters, Judy Russell Varney (Doug) and Mona Russell Runge (John); sons, Jody Monsour (Pat) and Mitch Monsour (Jeanne); grandchildren, Josh Bullock (Amanda), Jonathan Varney (Brittany), Elliot Varney (Callie), Victoria Runge Hancock (Blair), Michelle Monsour Ayers, Matt Monsour (Katie), Paul Monsour (Anna), Mike Monsour (Virginia), Meredith Monsour Schiefer (Greg), and Emily Monsour; and many beloved great grandchildren.

Visitation will be at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Gluckstadt, Mississippi on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 from 10:30 am to 12:00 noon with Funeral Mass at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow at Crystal Springs Cemetery.
