Sue graduated from the Unviversity of Texas where she met and married Joe Thomas Pursell. Sue is survived by two children, Cynthia Pursell Philpot and David Brian Pursell, and three grandchildren, Robert Joseph Philpot III, Austin Franklin Philpot and David Brian Pursell Jr.
Sue was a member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, Jackson, MS and a Honorary member of American Institute of Architects. Sue was the co-owner of The Closette, the first consignment boutique in the Jackson area during the 1970s. Sue was a member of various Ladies’ organizations and loved traveling with her family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at Parkway Funeral Home, Ridgeland, MS on September 22, 2023. Visitation will be held at 10:00 followed by a graveside service at 11:00.
Memorial donations may be made in Sue B Pursell’s name to St Luke’s Methodist Church Jackson, MS.
