

Winfred grew up on the family farm in Sumrall which he dearly loved. He attended Sumrall High School, received a degree in Geology from Mississippi Southern College (USM) and did graduate work at Utah State University. After college he spent many years working in the oil industry. In the last decade of his life he established his own old used brick company. He loved and enjoyed working. He did not retire until dementia entered his life.
He was a proud veteran of the Korean war. He received the Commendation Ribbon for outstanding service while on active duty in Korea. A Life Deacon in First Baptist Church. He faithfully worked in the International Ministry and maintained friendship with friends from around the world. He loved college football especially the Ole Miss Rebels. He was a member of the Knife and Fork supper club for many years.
Winfred loved his family…his parents…siblings…nieces…nephews. Most of all the light of his life for 60 years Becky, his precious sons, Marc and David, and his grandson, Weslyn who was his pride and joy.
A loving, kind, sweet, generous southern gentleman…he will be missed. He is survived by his wife Rebecca (Becky) Myers Lott, sons John Marc and David Allen, grandson Weslyn Myers Lott, special nephew Shelby Todd Myers. A sister Elsie Lott Williams and brother Audler Lott both of Hattiesburg. Nieces Melinda Ikard of Tuscaloosa AL, Lisa Mims, Hattiesburg, Amy Lou Waide, West Point MS, Katie Lyles, Madison. Nephews Jerry Napier of Louisville KY, Larry Williams, Treasure Island FL, Lane Myers, Madison, David Myers, Hattiesburg and Alan Myers, Opelousa LA. He was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters Lois Napier, Myrtis Davis, Inez Rawls and Evelyn Dunn.
Visitation will be held Friday, November 15, 2019 at Parkway Funeral Home in Ridgeland, Mississippi at 1:00 p.m. with funeral services beginning at 2:00 p.m.
