Betty Lee McDaniel

Betty Lee McDaniel, 22, of 3885 Horsepasture Price Road, Ridgeway died Sunday, February 14, 2010 at the UVA Medical Center in Charlottesville. She was born in Martinsville, April 18, 1987 to the late Donald Ray McDaniel and Jackie Dalton Harris of Ridgeway. She was a 2009 graduate of Magna Vista High School, and had participated in the Special Olympics and March of Dimes. Betty attended Stella Christian Church.

In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Riley and Violet McDaniel and Maternal grandparents, Riley and Lillian Dalton.

In addition to her mother she is survived by her step-father, Jeffrey Harris of the home, one sister, Ashley Harris of the home, step-grandmother, Linda Harris of Ridgeway and step-great grandmother, Alma Foley of Ridgeway, and her special Godmother, Deborah Simmons of Cascade.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 18, 2010 in the chapel of Community Funeral Services of Ridgeway with ministers Steve Hayes and Alton Bartee officiating, interment will follow in the McDaniel-Cross Family Cemetery in Axton. The family will receive friends 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 17, 2010 in the chapel of Community Funeral Services of other times at the home.
