Betty Bray Mulkey

Betty Bray Mulkey, 84, of Danville, went home to be with her Lord, November 6, 2014 at Riverside Rehab Center in Danville. She was born in Henry County on August 18,1930 to the late James Robert Bray and Virgie Wilson Bray. She was retired after thirty years with Tultex where she worked as a cutter in the printing room.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Pyott Mulkey, one daughter, Barbara Mulkey Roach, three sisters, Winnie Ashworth, Mabel Simmons and Geraldine “Gerry” Riddle, two brothers, Harvey Bray and Ben “Speed” Bray.

Surviving are a granddaughter, Cindy Pyrtle and husband, Mike of Axton, three great-grandchildren, Matthew, Michael and Myles Pyrtle, and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be held 12:00 Noon, Monday, November 10, 2014, in the Community Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Don Reynolds officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services. Interment will follow in the Wilson Family Cemetey. Pallbearers will be Mike Pyrtal, Matthew Pyrtal, Michael Pyrtal, Ernest Roach, Don Ashworth and Dexter Bray.
