Billy Wayne Goins Sr.

Billy Wayne Going, 67, of 1116 Old Mills Road, Ridgeway, died Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at Martinsville Memorial Hospital. He was born June 16, 1944 in Ridgeway to the late William Art Goins and Callie Cobbler Goins. He served in the National Guards and retired after more than forty seven years as a sewing machine maintenance man, for several of the textile plants in Martinsville the last being Bassett Walker Knitting. He was a member of Ridgeway Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, William, Junior and Jimmy Goins.

Surviving are his wife, Linda Bates Goins of the home, one daughter, Dianna Goins Mills of Martinsville, two sons, Billy Wayne Goins, Jr. and Bryan Scott Goins both of Ridgeway, four sisters, Mildred Dalton and Virginia Wright both of Ridgeway, Frances Jefferson of Rocky Mount and Gladys Fulcher of Clio Michigan, four brothers, Marvin “Bob” Goins and Elmer Goins both of Eden, NC, Lewis Goins and Cornell Goins both of Ridgeway, seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 4, 2011 in the Chapel of Community Funeral Service with Director Kelly G. Ratcliff officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery in Ridgeway. Full military honors will be provided by the Martinsville-Henry County Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends two hours prior to services beginning at 12:00 noon in the chapel of Community Funeral Service of Ridgeway and other times at the home on Old Mills Road, Ridgeway.
